Looking for info about my paternal great great grand father william compton.his son my great grandpa was Pinkney.d.compton..I've found my grand mother's familys.but I found his marriage cert.and a couple census but nothing else.my dad was William aaron compton.son of Aaron Ben Compton and lona pearl Pierce. My dad and his little brother were adopted in 1940 when lona died..before my dad passed away he took us to Kentucky to meet most of his brothers and their families.i read a story about Pinkney that one of his daughters shared.how he was raised up by a family named The Wisdoms and how my grandpa ben was born in texas.i wondered if my great grandpa william Compton died young?
